Providing greater safety for at-height workers, the Nano-Lok 3101217 self-retracting lifeline (SRL) from DBI-SALA is a major step forward in fall protection. This Nano-Lok model connects to your structure with a steel rebar hook featuring the largest gate opening of any connector - 2 1/2 inches. The unit attaches quickly and easily to any harness with a self-closing, self-locking steel carabiner. In the past, SRL technology was reserved for big operations with lots of money. The Nano-Lok line brings the price of a 6 foot. SRL down to the level of a standard shock-absorbing lanyard. SRLs provide superior fall protection when compared with shock-absorbing lanyards in that they typically arrest falls within 24 inches, compared with the 18 feet of total fall clearance needed with a standard lanyard. At-height workers can connect to a variety of structural anchors with the large rebar hooks, and can have a total combined weight of tools and worker up to 420 pounds. (The harness must also be rated to 420 pounds.) Nano-Lok retracting lanyards comply with all applicable fall safety standards including: OSHA 1926-.502, ANSI Z359.1-2007, and ANSI A10.32-04 standards for fall protection.
