The Nano-Lok 3101215 single-leg retracting lanyard offers fall protection far superior to a traditional shock-absorbing lanyard. While the Nano-Lok weighs and costs about the same as a standard lanyard, it offers shorter fall distance and a greater likelihood of of the worker being able to self-rescue. This lightweight SRL features a steel self-locking carabiner on the swivel end and a standard self-locking steel snap hook with 3/4 in. gate opening on the other. The Nano-Lok line of SRLs from DBI-SALA SRL meet OSHA 1926-.502, ANSI Z359.1-2007, and ANSI A10.32-04 standards for fall protection. The Nano-Lok series of self-retracting lifeline (or lanyard - whichever you prefer) will typically stop a fall within 24 in., while a shock-absorbing lanyard needs 18 ft. of clearance.
