The RKI Instruments GX-Force Confined Space Kit (72-FA-A-A10-51) is a turnkey solution for OSHA-compliant confined space entry programs. Anchored by the GX-Force 4-gas monitor, this kit adds a pre-filled 34-liter calibration gas cylinder, demand flow regulator, tubing, and a padded carrying case. Teams can bump test, calibrate, and begin monitoring straight out of the box without sourcing separate consumables. The GX-Force measures LEL combustibles, oxygen, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen sulfide through a 100-foot internal sample pump on a 30-hour battery.

Why does this kit ship via UPS Ground only?

The 34-liter calibration gas cylinder is a hazardous material (compressed gas) subject to DOT regulations. Ground-only shipping applies regardless of your preferred shipping method, and the calibration gas is non-returnable. Please verify your cylinder gas mixture and quantity before placing the order.

How often should I calibrate the GX-Force?

RKI recommends a bump test (functional gas test) before each day of use and a full calibration at minimum every six months. The 34-liter cylinder included in this kit contains enough gas for multiple calibration cycles. When the cylinder is depleted, replacement calibration gas (part 81-0154RK-04) is available separately from PK Safety.

Does this kit include a wall charger for the GX-Force?

This confined space kit (72-FA-A-A10-51) includes the padded case, calibration gas, regulator, and tubing, but does not include a wall charger. The GX-Force with Case bundle (72-FA-A-A10-50) includes the charger. The 100–240 VAC AC adapter (part 49-0139) is available separately.

Can I use this calibration gas with other RKI monitors?

Yes. The 34 L H₂S/CO/O₂/CH₄ calibration gas mixture in this kit is also the standard four-gas mixture for the GX-3R, GX-3R Pro, GX-2009, and GX-2012. If you operate a mixed fleet, the same cylinder services multiple RKI instruments.
