You can never be too careful when working near potential fire hazards. Arc flash clothing is designed to keep you safe in these kinds of situations. They’re made with specially treated flame-resistant fabric that won’t catch fire if one should occur. You’ll have more peace of mind on the job knowing that you’ll be protected if you’re confronted with an open flame or explosion.
Clothing, arc flash coveralls and accessories are distinct from FR rated garments. While it is true that Arc rated garments are also FR rated, the reverse is not necessarily true. Simply having FR clothing or FR pants does not mean that a particular item may be used in Arc Flash situations. This is an important distinction.
Arc flash pants are made with multiple layers of fabric. This includes specific technical fabrics, including DuPont Nomex and Kevlar. These materials are chosen to provide garments that are just as soft as they are safe. They won’t melt, drip, combust or ignite in the presence of an open flame, which allows you to focus on the task at hand.
As your personal safety gear experts, it’s important to note that our arc flash pants comply with the latest safety regulations and requirements, including NFPA 70E-2015 for Arc Flash, CSA Z462-15 Compliant for Arc Flash (Canada), ASTM F1506-10a, and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269. Your entire team will have everything they need to work near potential fire hazards.
