Clothing, arc flash coveralls and accessories are distinct from FR rated garments. While it is true that Arc rated garments are also FR rated, the reverse is not necessarily true. Simply having FR clothing or FR pants does not mean that a particular item may be used in Arc Flash situations. This is an important distinction.

Arc flash pants are made with multiple layers of fabric. This includes specific technical fabrics, including DuPont Nomex and Kevlar. These materials are chosen to provide garments that are just as soft as they are safe. They won’t melt, drip, combust or ignite in the presence of an open flame, which allows you to focus on the task at hand.
