RKI Instruments GX-3R/GX-3R Pro Calibration Kit

$589.29

Ships in 3 - 4 days

Description

The RKI GX-3R/GX-3R Pro Calibration Kit gives you everything needed to perform a complete field calibration on either the GX-3R or GX-3R Pro portable multi-gas monitor — without sourcing each component separately. Correct calibration keeps your detector reading accurately, which is essential before confined-space entry, oil and gas field operations, wastewater utility work, and any application where H2S, CO, LEL combustibles, or oxygen-deficiency hazards are possible.

Kit includes:

  • One full cylinder of RKI calibration gas (H2S/CO/CH4 50% LEL/O2 4-gas mixture)
  • 0.25 LPM demand-flow regulator
  • Calibration tubing
  • Protective carry case

The GX-3R or GX-3R Pro monitor is not included. Calibration gas is non-returnable — verify your monitor's gas-inlet port type and required calibration mixture before ordering.

RKI recommends bump testing before each day's use and full calibration at minimum every six months. Typical applications include personal monitoring, confined-space entry, refineries, petrochemical plants, utilities, oil and gas fields, water/wastewater treatment, fire services, and construction sites.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the RKI GX-3R/GX-3R Pro Calibration Kit?

The kit includes a full cylinder of RKI 4-gas calibration gas (H2S/CO/CH4 50% LEL/O2), a 0.25 LPM demand-flow regulator, calibration tubing, and a protective carry case. The GX-3R or GX-3R Pro monitor is sold separately.

How often should I calibrate the GX-3R or GX-3R Pro?

RKI recommends a bump test before each shift and a full calibration at minimum every six months. Sites with continuous or high-concentration gas exposure, or that follow stricter safety programs, may require more frequent calibration. Always follow your site's written confined-space or gas-detection safety plan.

Is the calibration gas in this kit returnable?

No. Calibration gas cylinders are non-returnable once an order is placed. Confirm your monitor model, the required gas mixture, and your cylinder size before ordering. Contact PK Safety at 800-829-9580 for pre-order guidance.

Can I use this kit for bump testing as well as full calibration?

Yes. The same 4-gas mixture used for full calibration can be used for bump testing, which verifies that each sensor responds to a known gas concentration. A bump test is faster than a full calibration and RKI recommends performing one before each day's use.
