The 3M 8511 Particulate Respirator N95 Exhalation Valve is uniquely designed to help provide comfort and protection. It is ideally suited for work settings that involve heat, humidity, or long periods of wear. Workplace applications include grinding, sanding, sweeping, bagging and other dusty/hot operations. The 3M Cool Flow Exhalation Valve, a patented one-way valve offers easy exhalation for cool, dry comfort. An adjustable M nose-clip to helps provide a custom fit and secure seal. Lightweight construction promotes greater worker acceptance. The Assigned Protection Factor (APF) is 10. Sold by the box of 10 masks. This mask has been a popular choice for protection against Avian flu, Bird flu, Tuberculosis / TB and SARS. Please note that the exhalation valve feature makes this mask only useful against these pathogens. For a person already infected, use a mask without the valve, as air passes out of the mask unfiltered through the exhaust valve.
