The RKI RP-3R Sample Drawing Pump converts the
RKI GX-3R multi-gas monitor from diffusion mode to active sample-draw mode, extending the detector's sampling reach up to 100 feet into a space the worker cannot safely enter. This capability is essential for pre-entry atmospheric testing in confined spaces, where direct entry before knowing the atmospheric condition is prohibited by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146.
The RP-3R attaches directly to the GX-3R's sensor area without tools and detaches just as quickly when sampling is complete. The pump is battery-operated (one AA alkaline battery) with a runtime of up to 5 hours per battery — long enough for extended pre-entry surveys and continuous monitoring during contractor work in tanks, vaults, and other permit-required confined spaces.
