Product Spotlight: RKI 04 Series and GasWatch 3

Both the RKI 04 Series single gas monitors and RKI GasWatch 3 are compact and highly dependable, which cuts down on the amount of heavy gear you need to carry around and can easily be kept on your person and actually used. Here are the important details about these smaller, more reliable RKI gas monitors.

RKI 04 Series - Single Toxic Gas Personal Monitor

These pocket-sized, lightweight single gas monitors offer personal monitoring for HCN, NO2, PH3, SO2, CO with H2 elimination, and combination O2/CO. The sensors have a life expectancy of over three years and are backed by a three-year warranty. If you do need to replace the sensors once out of warranty, they’re inexpensive, easy to replace in the field, and interchangeable with other RKI instruments like the GX-3R, GX-3R Pro, and GasWatch 3. Two user-adjustable preset alarms keep wearers informed, and visual, audible, and vibration alarms and automatic backlights keep workers constantly aware of the situation. The HCN, NO2, PH3, and SO2 versions can operate for 3,000 hours on 2 AAA alkaline batteries and have a low battery alarm to make sure that you’re never caught without power. The entire 04 Series has an IP-67 rating, is impact, dust, and water-resistant, and has ATEX and C/US approvals.

GasWatch 3

The GasWatch 3 features an IP-66/68-rated “watch type” design that’s light, compact, and easy to wear, whether you’re clipping it in your breathing zone or wearing it on a watch band. It’s the smallest and lightest single-gas monitor RKI offers, which makes it highly comfortable and flexible. GasWatch 3 is available in five versions: CO, H2S, O2, CO/O2, and H2 compensated CO. These monitors operate on a coin-type lithium-ion battery and have a continuous battery life between 2,000 and 4,000 hours, depending on the model. An automatic backlight during alarms and non-compliance indicator ensures that the wearer is consistently safe and aware of their environment. The great battery life, three-year warranty (two years for the O2 monitor), resistance to water, dust, and radio frequencies, and protection from many industry hazards make it a wonderful value for its cost.
