Just like the Austin Air HealthMate, the medical grade HEPA technology is certified to up to 99+% of all airborne contaminants as small as 0.1 microns. including viruses, bacteria, dust, dander, and allergies. HealthMate Plus also uses an activated carbon that is infused with potassium iodide, which is designed for better adsorption of specific chemicals such as formaldehyde.  Therefore, the HealthMate Plus may be a better option for those exposed to wildfire smoke or chemical disasters.
