Retractable Static Grounding Reels from Stewart R. Browne have long been used as a safe method of storing cables. The enclosed housing prevents the cable from being exposed to corrosive and harsh elements. The self-storing design also prevents personnel from tripping over loose cable. The reels have a self-retracting drum and instant lock mechanism to prevent cable from becoming tangled. These reels are used extensively in aviation fueling operations as well as the petro-chemical distribution industry (tanker trucks). Standard designs come with 3/32 inch diameter galvanized cable.
